“The public no longer remains this amorphous thing out there that people inside the academy are trying to reach. We really end up trying to name these publics and why they form a public in these specific ways.

Queenie Sukhadia holds a PhD in English from the Graduate Center, CUNY. Her dissertation, Bearing Il/liberal Secondary Witness: Un/Disciplined Pedagogies of Response to Testimonial Narratives, focused on questions of secondary witnessāhow we receive the narratives of those testifying to atrocitiesāin global testimonial literature. Queenie is also a creative writer and published a collection of short stories, A City of Sungazers, in 2017. She also holds a BA in English (with high honors) and Psychology from Dartmouth College and an MA in English (with distinction) from Georgetown University. Queenie now holds a full-time position as a content designer at LinkedIn.
