Jamia Wilson, Editor of The Feminist Press (FP), discusses the future of feminist publishing. Participants will learn about how feminist publishing is practiced at FP, and how the organization believes it impacts the publishing industry at large.
Jamia Wilson is theĀ executive director and publisher of the Feminist Press.Ā She is the author ofĀ Young, Gifted, and BlackĀ andĀ Step Into Your Power, co-author ofĀ Road Map for Revolutionaries, and wrote the introduction and oral history toĀ Together We Rise: Behind the Scenes at the Protest Heard Around the World. She is the recipient of the 2018 NYU Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Alumnae Award, the Planned Parenthood Southeast āLegend in the Makingā award, and her work has appeared in numerous publications, including theĀ New York Times,Ā Essence, Rookie, Refinery29, CNN, theĀ Washington Post,Ā Elle, and more.
